Hueytown Vs. Oak Mountain
This Thursday night make plans to cheer on our Golden Gophers as they open the 2010 season with their fall jamboree. The game will start at 7:00 p.m. Also we will recognize our youth league programs starting at 6:30. The Quarterback Club will be out front selling season passes and also shirts. We hope to see everyone there to open up what should be an exciting season.
Quarterback club meetings will now be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday nights. Meetings will now take place at the Hueytown Public Library. The meetings will be at 6:00 p.m. until the season starts. Once the season begins we will meet on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. At this time Coach Scott will award players of the week and talk about the previous game as well as our next opponent.Everyone is in invited and encouraged to attend. We would like to thank Homeplate Diner for hosting our meetings for the last several years. Come and see what's new with Hueytown Football. Help us support our players and coaches by taking part in this vital program. We would love to see you there!

Hueytown High School fielded its first football team in 1921. This season we celebrate our 89th year of high school football. We are very proud of the hard work, sacrifice, and effort made by every player, coach, and sponsor in turning our program into one of the top 16 teams in 5A Alabama High School Football.

Players of the Week
Each week during the football season, at the HHS Quarterback Club meetings, Coach Scott names two players as Offensive and Defensive "Players of the Week" for the previous game. After each varsity game, the coaches select two individuals for these prestigious awards based on their excellent performance, leadership and overall improvement.

Fundraisers
Each year, the football program at Hueytown High School holds several fundraisers. Thanks to revenue received from these fundraisers each year, we are able to provide nice uniforms, cleats, practice apparel, camps, pre- and post-game meals to the players as well as other various benefits.
It is so important to have support from businesses and the community to spare the football players the burden of costly expense of playing the sport of football. Your sponsorship goes directly to supporting our program in many different areas. We are striving to provide the very best in facilities and equipment for our players and coaches. Please help support these players during fundraiser events.
