Welcome
to the Hueytown High School Quarterback Club
HOME OF
THE GOLDEN GOPHERS!
"Winning is not
a sometime thing it's an all the time thing. You don't win
once in a while; you don't do the right thing once in a
while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit.
Unfortunately, so is losing." ~Vince Lombardi
On behalf of
the Hueytown Quarterback Club we would like to thank
Coach Jeff
Smith for being a part of our school and our community for
the
past six
years. Coach Smith dedicated his time building a well
respected
football
program for Hueytown High School as well as molding boys
into
young men.
Coach Smith brought pride and honor back to a program that
had been down
for too long. For that, we thank him. We also thank Coach
and his family
for being part of our community. We will never forget
that.
Coach Smith’s entire family will truly be missed. We wish
Coach Smith
and his family
all the best.
We wish them
good luck in their new school and community.
Thank you,
Hueytown

WHAT'S SPECIAL
ABOUT HUEYTOWN FOOTBALL?
Hueytown High
School fielded its first football team in 1921 and this
season we celebrated 86 years of football history. In less
than 5 years, our team has gone from a 0-10 season to 10-2
season, hosted the second home play-off game since 1995 and
won them both in front of record breaking crowds. For only
the seventh time in school history, made the state
play-offs and last year (2008) makes three consecutive years. We are very proud of the hard work , sacrifice &
effort made by every player, coach and sponsor in turning
our program into one of the top 16 teams in 6A Alabama High
School Football.
The expectations
for the Senior Class of 2009 were great and they did not
disappoint us. They united our community and
displayed an unmatched level of team spirit, unity, loyalty
to each other and class that has amazed us all. We
gratefully congratulate each of these special seniors and
wish them the very best as they continue their senior year
and move towards their graduation in the spring. They will
all be greatly missed and our quarterback club wishes each
player the very best because that is what they have always
given us...
THE VERY BEST.
We invite you
to join us as we continue to all we can to help our athletes
accomplish the goals they have set for themselves and for
our community. Catch the spirit of Hueytown Football and be
part of something special ~ Join the Quarterback Club!
